New Delhi, Jul 3 (INB) Prime Minister Narendra Modi on Thursday said that a strong India will contribute to a more stable and prosperous world and promised that the country will stand shoulder to shoulder with Ghana in its pursuit of progress and prosperity.
While addressing a special session of the Parliament of Ghana, Modi said that as the world’s largest democracy, India is a pillar of strength for the world.
“A strong India will contribute to a more stable and prosperous world. India and Ghana are connected by a shared commitment to democratic values,” Modi said.
He highlighted the historical bonds between India and Ghana, forged through shared struggles for independence and a common commitment to democracy and inclusive development.
“India’s democracy shines as a ray of hope. India is a pillar of strength for the world. The histories of India and Ghana bear the scars of colonial rule. But our spirits have always remained free and fearless,” Modi said.
Drawing on the contributions of the great Ghanaian leader – Dr. Kwame Nkrumah, he emphasized that the ideals of unity, peace, and justice are the foundation of strong and lasting partnerships.
